All posts from first time commentators are moderated. After that, additional posts from that commentator will be automatically approved unless they contain excessive links. Approved comments are “dofollow”.

Inappropriate or spam comments will not be tolerated. I use the WP SpamFree plugin and Captcha to filter all blog comments. I also personally moderate all blog comments before they are publicly visible. Comments need to be more than one-liners, and specifically applicable and appropriate to the topic, or they will not be approved. “I like this” or “Good post” won’t cut it. Excessive links in a post will be automatically flagged and filtered by WP SpamFree. In addition to the poster’s website url, I will generally allow up to 2-3 embedded links per post, which need to be to different urls, and directly applicable to the subject. Basically, you will not get any link juice unless your blog comment is appropriate and meaningful.
